Defensive Medical (DEF-MED) is an 8hr defensive medical course intended to help citizens prepare for and respond to violent trauma incidents such as a gunshot or stabbing injury. The training covers preparing trauma kits, response under fire, bleeding control, pressure bandages, tourniquets, shock treatment, moving patients out of harm’s way, patient protection, and much more! Students formerly trained by EDR may participate in live fire medical response drills. Those not trained in firearms use may participate in similar drills without shooting or using airsoft platforms.
